Taylor Lake is one of Banff’s summer gems. A long, forested hike that feels like a slow‑building adventure. You wander through towering evergreens and quiet, shaded trails until the landscape suddenly opens into a breathtaking reveal: a brilliant turquoise lake tucked into a hanging valley, surrounded by rugged, sky‑carved peaks that look like they’re standing guard.
The moment you step into the open meadow, it feels like you’ve stumbled into a hidden alpine world. From the lake, you can roam through wildflower‑filled fields or climb higher for sweeping views of the surrounding mountains, each angle offering something new and spectacular.

Trail is in general well mantain and easy to walk.

Logistical details:
Transportation: You should be prepared to drive to the trailhead.
Food: Bring snacks and/or a lunch, plus 1 to 2 litres, of water.
Clothing: Our hiking programs occur in diverse outdoor environments where conditions can change rapidly, especially in the mountains. To ensure your comfort and enjoyment, we will assist you in selecting the right clothing to manage the forecasted temperatures and conditions throughout your activities.
